Leave leisurely after breakfast and drive via the Nyahururu Water Falls (Thompson Falls - commonly known as the T-falls!) stopping to view, and down the escarpment into the Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park located right on the floor of the awe-inspiring Rift Valley. This soda lake is ridged by picturesque hills giving a wonderful view of the whole expanse of the lake and shores, drawing many aquatic birds along with the countless flamingos whose flight makes a pink cloud against blue water. Over 450 species of birds are available in this sanctuary. Lunch at your lodge will be followed by an afternoon game drive in this small game-filled Park returning at dusk for dinner and overnight

Day 9 - Maasai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, continue across the floor of the Great Rift Valley past the Maasai town of Narok to the legendary Maasai Mara National Reserve by lunch time. For most safari participants, this is the jewel and highlight of the safari expedition. You will be enchanted by the diversity of animals that roam the Mara plains, and if traveling over the migration period, you will experience the seasonal annual migration of wildebeests and zebras in millions as they cross over into this ecosystem from Serengeti (July - October). The breathtaking topography of the region, comprising of endless expansive escarpments and plateaus will be interesting. The park is home to the largest populations of predators including the big cats. Witnessing them making a' kill' is phenomenal. Enjoy an afternoon game drive returning to your lodge for dinner and overnight
