Kenya Uganda Rwanda 12 Days 11 Nights

Where to go: this safari takes you to Lake Nakuru and Maasai Mara national parks in Kenya for game viewing. After crossing to Uganda, you will visit Queen Elizabeth National Park and for game viewing and boat ride along Kazinga Channel. Then proceed to Rwanda for gorilla safari in Parc des Volcans and Akagera National Park in Rwanda.

Day 1 – Nairobi
You are met on arrival and transferred to your Hotel – accommodation on bed and breakfast basis.

Day 2 – The Great Rift Valley
Leaving Nairobi in the morning, we drive down the escarpment (stopping en-route to view) past Lakes Naivasha & Elementaita to Lake Nakuru National Park located right on the floor of the awe-inspiring Rift Valley. Arrive in time for lunch and thereafter, enjoy an afternoon game drive in this small game-filled Park returning to your lodge at dusk for dinner and overnight

Day 3 - Maasai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, continue across the floor of the Great Rift Valley past the Maasai town of Narok to the legendary Maasai Mara National Reserve – to many, the jewel and highlight of the safari expedition, by lunch time. Enjoy an afternoon game drive returning to your lodge for dinner and overnight

Day 4 – Maasai Mara National Reserve
A full day in the Mara with game drives (2 game drives – an early morning game drive and a late afternoon one, each of 3 hrs). All meals and overnight as above

Day 5 – Maasai Mara - Nairobi
An early morning game drive in the Mara is followed by breakfast and thereafter, return to Nairobi to arrive by mid afternoon (kindly note that lunch on this day is NOT included in the tariff but can be arranged on request).

Drop off at the airport for your late afternoon / early evening flight to Entebbe. Dinner and overnight in Kampala.

Day 6 – Queen Elizabeth
After breakfast drive westwards to Queen Elizabeth National Park. After lunch, enjoy the launch trip on Kazinga Channel for amazing bird life and a variety of wild life. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

Day 7 – Ishasha
Take an early morning game drive along Kasenyi track and Queen’s mile in the park. Proceed to Ishasha sector for game drive in search for tree climbing lions. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge on Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 8 – Parc des Volcans
After breakfast take the boat ride on the lake. Proceed to Virunga Conservation area, at the foothills of Muhavura and other volcanoes. You pass the border to Rwanda and reach Ruhengeri, at the gate of Parc des Volcans for dinner and overnight in Lodge.

Day 9 – Mountains gorilla tracking
After breakfast and the briefing from the guides, set off for the mountains gorilla tracking inside the rain tropical forest of Rwanda. This experience is very rewarding. After the magic encounter with the primates, return to the lodge and proceed to Kigali for dinner and overnight.

Day 10 – Akagera National Park
After breakfast, proceed to Akagera National Park located along the Tanzanian border of Rwanda. This park is famous for its herds of game animals including Burchell's Zebra, lions, elephants, topi, giraffes, impalas and over 425 species of birds including the shoe billed stock, African jacana, sacred ibis goliath heron. After game drives, dinner and overnight at your Lodge.

Day 11 –
Drive to Entebbe/Kampala for dinner and overnight. Lunch enroute. Or drive back to Kigali for dinner and overnight.

Day 12 – Departure
Reserved for departure.
